This first book by Marie Simmons, 365 Ways to Cook Pasta: For Every Season, For Every Reason, A pasta Lover’s Paradise, was the second in a long series of 365 titles (by other authors). Pasta went on to sell over 500,000 copies. Simmons still meets cooks who use the recipes in her “pasta cookbook” to this very day. All the recipes are conveniently based on dried pasta, except for the Asian chapter which features recipes using fresh Chinese noodles, wonton wrappers, and Japanese soba noodles. The subject of pasta is exhausted is this user friendly spiral bound reasonably priced book. The twenty chapters contain recipes both classic and creative. From Italian Classics (authentic recipes and adaptations) and American Classics (think macaroni and cheese variations) to Savory Summer Salads, Spaghetti in the Pantry, Elbows on the Table, Lasagne, Shapes Shells and a Few Rotelles, No-Cook Sauces, Meat Sauces, Light and Easy to Desserts, Puddings, and Breakfast Dishes. Well, you get the drift.
